Bethelsdorp Village Development Agency was formed through the adoption of the Bethelsdorp Village Precinct Plan.

The Bethelsdorp Village Precinct Plan was commissioned for the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. However it was never adopted in Council.

Bethelsdorp Village is the first to obtain title rights to land under coloninism. It is rich in various cultural heritage, tangible and intangible.

The vision of the NPC is to unlock this heritage potential of the Bethelsdorp Village and turn it into a vibrant self sustainable community project that will thrive in tourism, social and economic development.
